Vrajaloka Eco Village

Vrajaloka Eco Village

A developing home for Krishna conscious community life at New Madhuvan — the eco-village that will hold the new temple, the goshala and the farm within a single 60-decare sanctuary, set deep in nature.

The land where the Vrajaloka eco-village is taking shape
Introduction

What is Vrajaloka?

The name Vrajaloka evokes the pastoral villages of Vraja, the eternal land of Krishna's childhood pastimes. Vrajaloka is the future residential and community area of New Madhuvan — a place where devotee families and single practitioners will live simply, close to the land, and centered on Krishna.

Vrajaloka is the living framework of the whole 60-decare sanctuary of New Madhuvan — the eco-village that will hold the new temple, the goshala, the gardens and the community homes as one integrated whole, set deep in nature and far from the city and the noise of modern civilization.

I offer my obeisances unto that Śrī Vṛndāvana, where the trees, creepers and animals shine with the beauty of pure devotion to Krishna.

The vision

The vision

Our aim is to recreate, in a modest Bulgarian countryside form, the same atmosphere of simple living, high thinking — cows walking freely between fields and orchards, families gathering for morning kīrtan, children learning near the elders, and every activity woven around the temple and daily sevā.

The land

The natural setting

Green all around

Meadows, mature trees and open sky — the surrounding nature is one of the most valued elements of the site.

The stream

A small stream runs through the land — a natural centre of the village, cherished and protected.

Close to the temple

Homes will be within walking distance of the temple and the goshala — everyday life stays centered around darśana and sevā.

Close to the farm

The fields, orchards and gardens are on the same land — food, work and worship in one continuous rhythm.
